General Requirements:

Coal Geology & Exploration focus on coal geology exploration; mining geology; coalbed methane; hydrogeology and engineering geology; environmental geology; coalfield geophysical prospecting; exploration engineering, etc. Welcome to submit the latest research achievement.

 

Manuscripts should be following the template, and submitted electronically. After submission, the authors and their order cannot be changed. The article should not be classified, and if it is funded by a secret-related research project, the author should ensure that the article has gone through the procedures of confidentiality review and approval before submission.

 

Manuscripts will not be simultaneously submitted elsewhere. Once the manuscript is accepted, all authors should sign the copyright agreement with the journal and mailed to the editorial department. For co-authored articles, the author must obtain the consent of the co-authors to ensure that the right of authorship of the article is not disputed. In case of disputes over the right of authorship, all responsibilities shall be borne by the author.

 

Submission Requirements:

1) The content of manuscript includes title(no more than 20 words); author, department(province, city) and postal code; Chinese abstract(no more than 300 words normally); keywords(3 to 8 words), English abstract; introduction, experimental, results and discussion, conclusions, reference. The following information are also should be provide as footer of the first page: brief introduction of the first author(name, gender, native place, degree, professional title and major), and the author's detailed address, E-mail address and contact number(mobile phone is preferred). If the paper is funded by fund, project, etc., please indicate the type of fund, project and its number.

 

2) The manuscript should be typeset in Microsoft Word, and the page is in A4((201*297)mm) format with two columns of typesetting. Your manuscript should be revised if it is not suitable for our journal. We have the right to modify your manuscript and will inform you when there are major revisions, but if you do not agree, please let us know in advance.

 

3) Abstracts(Chinese and English) should be concise, and describe the main content of the paper accurately in the four elements: aim, methods, results and conclusion. Every diagram and table in the paper have to be named in both Chinese and English. References(generally no less than 20) should be quoted reasonable from published literatures, and marked continuously according to the sequence in which references are cited in the text.

Acceptance and Rejection:

1) Acceptance

The author will be notified within 2 months from the date of manuscript first acceptance. If the author has not received the comments and notice within 2 months, you can contact the editor or re-submit the article to other journal(If you do so, please let the editors know).

If the articleis accepted and published, two copies of the journal will be given to the author of each article for free.

 

2) Rejection

(1) articles with many wrong words, incorrect sentences, irregular drawings and other similar problems, and not following the requirements of this journal;(2) articles with excessive repetition rate(over 20%);(3) the manuscript that has not been revised in 15 days after the amendment opinion was sent;(4) the manuscript that has not pay the publication fee in 1 month after notice.

 

Double-blinded peer review statement:

All the manuscripts submitted to Coal Geology and Exploration have been drafted through the process of the preliminary review of the responsible editors, the review of peer experts, and the final review of the editor-in-chief before they can be published. Expert peer review is the most critical part of the three-review system, and the double-blinded review is selected to avoid the influence of non-academic quality factors on the fair evaluation of manuscripts. The author may apply for review of the review opinions, and the editorial department shall make a positive response, and submit the review again if necessary.

 

Peer review includes: advancement and novelty of the topic, innovation of the method and content, academic theory correctness and theoretical level, value of reference to the peer, accuracy and attraction of the topic, clarity of expression, writing quality of English abstract, accuracy and  necessity of the graph, correctness of the deduction and demonstration, the rationality of the references, etc. Based on the above, peer review experts can evaluate the overall academic quality of the paper.
