  • Analysis on the sedimentary conditions of thick coalbeds in French faulted coal basins

    Based on the analysis of the abundant sedimentary indicators of the thick coalbeds in three coal forming faulted basins on the Massif Central of France,the distinct accumulation pattern of thick coalbeds and sedimentary conditions are discussed.A new formation mechanism for the intramontagneous thick lacustre coal (peat) accumulation model is demonstrated.The subaquatic gravitary current transported the organic (peat) and inorganic clasts formed in lakeshore swamp were formed in active clastic environment,and were associated with various gravity influenced mudstone and sandstone interlayers.The new thick coalbeds accamalation model can provide reasonable interpretation to genesis of the intramontagneous thick coal beds.

  • Characteristic of oil shale in Achibo Sombo area of Yayu Coal Field in Ethiopia

    On the basis of the introduction of the location,condition of strata,and the development of the coal bearing strata of Achibo Sombo area of Yayu coal field in Ethiopia,the distributing regularities,thickness,physical and chemical characteristics,of the oil shale in this area have been of industrial utilization studied.And the reserves of the oil shale has been calculated.Finally,the ways of industrial utilization have been put forward in this paper.

  • Quantitative analysis on fault structure in Yuxian Mine Area

    Based on mathematical statistics of the data concerning fault structures,the correlation between fault elements and mechanical properties of faults are analyzed.The empirical formulas for relation between drop height and strike length of different types of faults are established,and the distribution regularity of faults in mine area is shown.This paper emphasizes on the significance of slightly dipping reverse faults in the structure framework in Yuxian Mine Area.

  • Evaluation on coal washability of different genetic coal seams

    The coal washability is controlled by coal accumulating area.The research on relationship between characteristics of pyrite and clay mineral distribution and the coal genesis types of main minable coal seams No.9, No.10, No.12, No.13,and No.15,in the Wuda mining area,Inner Mongolia,indicated that the coal seams formed in a fluvial dominated delta plain are characterized by low pyrite content,high clay mineral content and better washability,but the coal seams formed in tide dominated delta plain are characterized by high sulfur,low clay mineral content and the mid degree of washability.In addition,the washability of pyrite and clay mineral of the coal seam formed in tidal flat is the worst.

  • Illumination and dynamic display of 3D geologic model

    A new method of illumination and dynamic display of 3D model is introduced.The triangular network and surface spline interpolation algorithms are proposed.It is discussed that the visibility test,the calculation method appropriate to 3D model.The dynamic display of model and auto drawing of profile are successfully realized.

  • Distribution features of ship-sheet structures and thinning zones in Coal Seam No.4 Qianling District

    The orientation and amplitude of thinning and thickening zones of main mining coal seams in some mining areas of Qianling coal mine are studied,through observation and research on the features and distribution regularities of slip sheet structures.The results indicated the development situation of soft beds and slip sheet structures in coal seams No.3 1-5 and the thinning or thickening regularities in the coal seam No.4,which provided geological information.

  • Permeability-strain equation relation to complete stress strain path of coal sample

    With the Electro hydraulic Servocontrolled Rock Mechanics Testing System,the permeability of soft coal sample related to complete stress strain path is experimented with instantaneous permeating method of data auto control.An annular strain sensor is set up firstly in testing,and the curves,reflecting the relationship between permeability of coal sample and principal stress difference,axial strain and volumetric strain,as well as the relevant equations are established.Thus it can be seen the coal sample permeability coefficient is twofold function of volumetric strain.It is binomial equation when the sample volume decreased,and five polynomial one when the volume increased.The equation can be applied to the numerical analysis of the coupled stress field and the fluid flow field,and the calculated results agree well with those observed.

  • Geological analysis on relationship between structural coal characteristics and carbon dioxide outburst

    Based on experiences of geological work in the 3 rd Mine of Yaojie Mining Administration,the characteristics of structural coal in the mine are analyzed.The relationships between coal characteristics and mechanics of carbon dioxide outburst.The results show that the most important control factors include geological structures,coal texture and coal thickness variations.The forecast for outburst potential areas can be conducted according to distribution regularities and thickness variations of structural coal.

  • Preliminary analysis on stress state in front of and after fracturing of coal seam and sandstone

  • Reliability analysis of coal pillar for flood prevention

    In order to design the width of barrier pillar reasonably,the “JC” method for reliability is used.Limit state equations for reliability of barrier pillar are given after analzing randomness of hydraulic pressure,tensile strength of coal bed and coeffcient of water inrush.This paper calculates reliability index,lose efficacy probability and safety coefficient corresponding to the width of different barrier pillar.In contrast with other accidents,the lose efficacy probability of the barrier pillar ranges suitably in 1×10 -5 ~1×10 -6

  • Hydrogeological characteristics of burnt rock in Huojitu Mine,Shenfu Mining Area

    The coal seam roof of Huojitu Mine is the burnt rock,which is the water impregnated aquifer,is dangerous to mine safety.The burnt rock distributed widely.The regularities of fracture development are vertically apparant,for example,the fractrues decrease upwards.The water abundance of the rock is controlled not only by structures,geographic and surface features,but also controlled by the recharge condition from other aquifer.The water quality of the rock can meet the drinking water standards of the state.Therefore,the water control combining dewatering and water supply is the effective way.

  • Analysis on room-crevice phenomenon in Qiwu Mining District

    The calculation method of mining subsidence is used to determine the mining influence scope to investigate the relationship between room crevice phenomenon and subsurface mining in Qiwu mining district.Based on comprehensive comparison and analysis of geologic conditions and mining method,reasonable calculation parameters are determined,the final boundary of mining influence is detemined with adjustment for calculated boundary and the boundary determined with other method.The result confirmed that there is no relationship between room crevice and subsurface mining.The analysis indicated that the room crevice is caused by regional structure movement,engineering geology and building quality.

  • Control factors of grouting soil

    Grouting soil stirring for foundation improvement is one of techniques of foundation treatment.The intensity of consolidated mixture of cement and soil is controlled by water content,the volume of blended cement and the kinds of subsoil.The laboratory and in situ experiment results show that the water content influences the intensity of grouting soil negatively;the relationship between intensity of grouting soil and the volume of blended cement is not simple positive correlation,and the influence of soil kinds is relatively larger.The intensity of sludge and mud is lower,because of their large content of organic matter,but the intensity of grouting soil formed by silt and clay is larger.

  • Wavefield replacement in 3D prestack forward modeling based on one way acoustic wave equation of frequency domain

    Based on the seismic positioning principle we can do 3D prestack forward modeling by one way acoustic wave equation in complex geological conditions.This method has very high caculating efficiency and hasn't multi reflections in the seismic records.But unsuitable velocity in model usually result in frequency and wave number's lossing of wave field that cause wave field's aberration and reduce quality of seismic forward records.This paper proposes wave field replacement technology which uses new wave field formed by zero phase wavelet to replace old aberrant wave field and keep old one's dynamical and spacial characteristic at the same time.It is very suitable to use this technology in 3D prestack forward modeling because the wave field of focus and receiver's response are similar in shape and every trace's amplitude envelope in wave field only has one extreme value.The simulation shows that the record's quality is improved when using wave field replacement technology.

  • One dimension numerical modeling of electrical penetrative detection in coal mine

    From researching the electrical penetration field theory between two roads of panel and it's one dimension numerical modeling,it is indicated that six electrical penetration techniques have obvious reflection to the change of electrical characters in roof and floor of the panel,but less reflection to the coal seam itself.The research provides the theory basis for detecting water bearing and water conductive structures in the roof or floor of panels.

  • Optimum drilling with the help of the drilling field database

    This paper proposes an optimum drilling method with the help of the drilling field database.The database collects the drilling parameters from a drilling computer monitor system in real time and gathers the information of encountered formations,drilling cost and other drilling relevant data by manual input.Because of the connection of drilling parameters with the data of the formation and drilling cost,the goal of optimum drilling especially minimum cost drilling can be easily achieved.
